Your visit in this tour is the favorite place of all travelers known as Ambohimanga. Considered one of the country’s most sacred spots by the Malagasy people for 500 years, the Royal Hill of Ambohimanga is a historical village that was once home to Madagascar royalty. The wall that surrounds the village was made in 1847 and was constructed with a mortar made of lime and egg whites. You will get picked up from your Antananarivo hotel at 8.30am. After your pick up, the driver will depart on the city tour. On this historical tour, you will be able to discover places like the Independence Avenue, the downtown, which is located next to administrative blocks, shops, flower’s market, school, hospital, the biggest and oldest hotel in Antananarivo and the famous Anosy Lake. Anosy Lake is located in the heart of Antananarivo. It is surrounded by purple blooming Jacaranda trees. In the middle of the waters, you will find a large white Angel on the top of the monument; it is the commemoration of soldiers lost in the First World War.
After this head to the Ampefiloha quarter where you'll see supermarket, schools, restaurants, banks and the oldest and biggest 5 star hotel in Antananarivo - The Carlton Hotel. This is a best place to see local people's lifestyle. The driver will bring you back to do the tour of the lake passing through the administrative blocs (trial bloc and ministries blocs) and finish this part with the beautiful flower market. After you will be visiting the upper town, located at the commercial blocs (jewelers), bank, the president’s office, night club, different restaurants and the famous Queen Palace, Cathedral and Prime Minister Palace.
Before passing on this avenue, you will see the public market in Antananarivo, called Analakely (meaning white umbrella) but firstly the market of Zoma (Friday market). You can admire pavilions, rail station, hotels and arcades along this avenue before enjoying lunch at Relais Du Rova.
After lunch, you will be going to visit the Blue Hill, classified one of the old heritage sites of UNESCO and back to Ambohimanga Village. For shopaholics you will have time to vsit the city centre and the handicraft market. And 5.30pm your driver will drop you back at your hotel.
You will be picked up from your Antananarivo hotelÂ 8.30am in the morning and depart for Ambohimanga - the blue hill classified as one of the old heritage sites of UNESCO.Â There are said to be twelve royal hills surrounding Antananarivo - andÂ you will be going to visit Ambohimanga village which is it is located 25km from the capital. It has long been one of the most important spiritual and historic sites for the Malagasy people. The site includes a complex of royal buildings and places of ritual. Ambohimanga is protected under Madagascarâ€™s heritage laws and is listed as a world heritage site. It simply means â€œblue hillâ€, the most important and highest one of the twelve sacred hills of Madagascarâ€™s capital. AndrianampoinimerinaÂ is the most famous king of Ambohimanga, his wish and dream is to unite the Malagasy tribes and principalities to one single people. After visiting this palace, you will have the opportunity to see the local lifestyle in this village before enjoying lunch at Relais Du Rova.
After lunch, continue to the Lemurs' Park. It is a private reserve located 25km from the capital, close to Katsaoka river and between Fenoarivo and Imerintsiatosika. You will find birds, medicinal plants, reptiles and mostly lemurs here (black and white ruffed lemur, common brown lemur, coquerelâ€™s sifaka, crowned sifaka, eastern lesser bamboo lemur, mongoose lemur and ring tailed lemur). It will take approx 45 minutes to visit the reserve.
After, you will be taken backÂ to the city center and have time to roam the streets of art. Around 4.30pm, you will be taken to visit the handicraft market, where you can find Â souvenier items like embrodiery - usually colourful and simplistic on white cloth, wood carvings - of almost everything, amonites and semi precious stones, raffia lemurs and giraffes, model bicycles and pousse pousses made from metal cans and paper with dried flowers in it.Â Once you are done with the shopping at you will be dropped off to hotel around 5pm.

You will get picked up form the reception of your Antananarivo hotel on 8.00am where your tour will start and you'll head for Andasibe. This is the nearest National Park to Antananarivo, known as the Bezanozano's ethnic. Located 145km from the capital on the national road 2 to Toamasina (an old port).
There is one private reserve, one special reserve and one national park here. You will be able to find there the biggest lemurs in Madagascar, the famous Indri and you will have the opportunity to get an idea of thee Malagasy lifestyle. Upon arrival on destination, you will have get a panoramic view of the green forest.
Around 10.00 am you will have a private visit to Peyreras park which is located 75km from the capital in Marozevo. A small exotic reserve where you can see: chameleons, leaf tailed geckos, butterflies, lemurs. Your visit will take approx 45min. You will visit one of the practical insect and reptiles reserve owned by naturalist Andre Peyreras and follow up with Moramanga - where you can stop visit local people at the open market, before continuing up to Andasibe where you will arrive at approx 12.30pm. Around 2pm the driver will take you to the private reserve of the hotel which is the home of different kinds of lemurs - including the famous Indri or Babakoto, crocodiles, the endemic carnivorous cat - called Fosa. The reserve belongs to the hotel Vakona Forest Lodge. You will begin your entry with the different reptiles and follow up with canoeing through the river before you join the different species of lemurs living in this private reserve.

Day 1: Antananarivo - Ampefy
Meet in the reception of your hotel betweenÂ 8amÂ and 8.30 am before departing to Ampefy which is located at 120km from the capital, in the rural commune of Itasy in Soavinandrina district and mostly the geographical center of Madagascar. It is a village perched on the edge of the Lily, which feeds a small crater lake. Two of the most famous sites you will get to visit on this tour are 'The Geyser' and 'The Lily Waterfall'.Â Many interesting sites are to be found in this region like the lake basin and its surrounding areas. You will discover also a volcanic landscape in this tour.
Around 9.30 am you will be visiting Lemur Park which is a private reserve located at 25km from the capital, close to Katsaoka river and between Fenoarivo and Imerintsiatosika. Around 2pm at afternoon relax at the famous waterfall - La Chute de La Lilly. 26m high, this waterfall comes from Itasy lake formed by ancient crater. The place was once called Antafofo. Its name was changed when a settler came to live at the scene and lost her daughter named Lily in the waterfall. This waterfall is has beautiful landscape not to be missed in while your stay in Madagascar.
Back to the hotel at the end of the afternoon in Ampefy.

Day 2: Ampefy - Antananarivo
After the breakfast the driver will pick you up and take you to marvelous place known as 'Geyser' which is locatedÂ 22km from Ampefy, the region also includes Ampefy geysers.Â Geysers of Amparaky come from the artesian wells phenomenon, not volcanic geysers. The difference is essentially the fact that the expelled water is not very hot. You can hike around to discover the volcanic landscape of the region which is the prolific fruit trees.Â
You will then enjoy lunch at the La Terasse or Chez Jacky Hotel restaurant
At 3.00 pm you will travelÂ back to Antananarivo and will be dropped in your hotel at the end of afternoon.

In the afternoon, choose how to spend your time. EnjoyÂ horse riding on the terrain or spend some time in the lake. Mantasoa Lake and its surroundings offer many opportunities for recreation, sport, and relaxation. Wake boarding, boating, quad biking on the tracks around the lake, kayaking or tubing are just some of the activities offered. Fishing fans can grab a reel and cast out from a rowboat.
Take a quick boat ride out to the cottages, not included in the fee, to check out the various games and sporting goods such as board games, petanque, and badminton.Â
Then head over to the Ermitage Hotel or Mantsasoa Lodge for some shuteye before your next big day.
When you wake up, enjoy breakfast at the hotel and take the morning to relax.Â You will have free time to roam around the place before having lunch at the hotel. At 2 pm you will be drivenÂ back to Antananarivo and dropped off at your hotel.
