Day 4: Lhasa – Gyantse – Shigatse (B)
Coach to Lhasa to Shigatse via the old mountain route. You'll stop at the sacred Yamdrok Lake, pass the striking Karo-La Glacier 16,273 feet (4960 meters) above sea level, and visit the Pelkor Chode Monastery in Gyantse. You'll arrive in Shigatse, the spiritual home of the Panchen Lama.

Day 5 - Shigatse to Tingri to Rongbuk 
Coach transfer westwards on the Friendship way to Tingri. then to Rongphu Monastery Kent. It takes 8 hours on the road (350kms). On the way to Rongbuk Kloster, you’ll come across 4 high mountains capped with snow:
Mt. Everest (8848meters), Makalu(8463meters), Lhotse(8516meters), Cho oyu peak(8201meters).

Day 6 - EBC to Rongbuk to Tingri to Shigatse
See the sunrise from Rongpuk. Then you will be transferred by coach to Everest Base Camp. You will admire the majestic Mt. Everest and take some fantastic pictures if weather permits.  Transfer back to Shigatse.

Day 7 - Shigatse to Lhasa
In the morning, visit Tashilunpo Monastery, one of the oldest and largest Gelug sect monasteries in Tibet, Tashilunpo Monastery is also the traditional seat of successive Panchen Lama. Later today transfer back to Lhasa, drive through the green farmland of Nyangchu Valley,

Free time on Barkhor Street. It was built to circle the sacred Jokhang Temple. Spend time with pilgrims to worship.

Day 4: Lhasa to Lake Namtso (B)

Transfer to the enchanting Namsto Lake.  6 hours on the road. You will pass the Nagenla Moutain Pass (5000m). Free time in the afternoon at lakeside.  

Namtso Lake: 4,718 meters above sea level, it is the second largest saltwater lake in China. It's an irregularly shaped lake surrounded by mountains, measuring over 30 kilometers from north to south and over 70 kilometers from east to west. The lake is hemmed in on all sides by broad prairies that could stretch out as far as the eye can see. The lake with the finest meadows is generally rich in natural fishpond and offers moisture and water for the highland pasture around it and a habitat for rare water birds like swans, egrets and sand birds. Pure, solemn and stunning as Namtso is, it is also a sacred place for Buddhism.

Coach tour along the Yarlung Tsangpo River for 3 hours to see the first Buddhist Monastery in Tibetan history - Samye Monastery.

Yarlung Tsangpo River
Yarlung Tsangpo is the upper stream of Brahmaputra River that flows through its origin, Tibet, known by its Tibetan name. It is the highest major river in the world.

Samye Ferry
Samye Monastery is located in the north bank of Yarlung Tsangpo River. You need to cross the river by taking Samye Ferry with locals. Then walk about 1 mile to reach the Monastery.

Samye Monastery
Samye Monastery was first built in AD 775 by King Trisong Detsen. It was the first monastery in Tibet to worship the three Buddhist jewels of Buddha, Dharma and Sangha.

The Samye Monastery is laid out on the shape of a giant mandala, with the main temple representing the legendary Mount Meru in the centre. Other buildings stand at the corners and cardinal points of the main temple, representing continents and other features of tantric Buddhist cosmology.

Day 4: Lhasa to Ganden Monastery (B)
Coach tour to see the famous Buddhist Monastery in Tibetan history - Ganden Monastery.

Ganden Monastery is at the top of Wangbur Mountain, Dagzê County at an altitude of 4,300m. Its full name is Ganden Namgyal Ling (dga' ldan rmam rgyal gling). Ganden means "joyful".

Ganden Monastery is one of the "great three" Gelug university monasteries of Tibet, China. It was founded in 1409 by Je Tsongkhapa Lozang-dragpa, founder of the Gelug order. The name "Gelug" is an abbreviation of "Ganden Lug", meaning "Ganden Tradition". The Ganden Tripa or "throne-holder of Ganden" is the head of the Gelug school. 

The largest chapel was capable of seating 3,500 monks. Tenzin Gyatso, the 14th Dalai Lama (born 1935), took his final degree examination in Ganden in 1958 and he claims to feel a particularly close connection with Tsongkhapa.

Day 2:

Explore the highlights of Tibetan capital starting from Potala Palace. The exotic 13-story structure contains more than 1,000 rooms and is divided in two sections. The White Palace built in mid-17th century provided living quarters for 5th- through 14th Dalai Lamas. From White Palace pilgrims climb to central Red Palace, which was completed in late 17th century and packed with chapels, ornate statues, and gem-embellished tombs of past Dalai Lamas. The 5th Dalai Lama's tomb, made from two tons of gold, stands three stories tall.

Afterwards visit Tibet’s holiest shrine, Jokhang Temple, which is over 1,300 years old and holds one of Tibet's most venerated images, a solid gold statue of Sakyamuni Buddha. End your day with a walk around Barkhor area filled with thousands of pilgrims, shops and tea houses to relax and unwind.

Day 3:
Start excursion by visiting Norbulingka, built as a summer palace for Dalai Lama. After, visit Drepung Monastery that used to be the residence of Dalai Lamas before the Potala Palace was built.

After lunch visit Sera Monastery, known as one of three great Gelukpa university monasteries in Lhasa, it is here that monks spend afternoons practicing their debating skills. Debates among monks on Buddhist doctrines are integral to the learning process in colleges of the Sera Monastery complex.

In the morning, visit the Pelkhor monastery, famous for its Kumbum Pagoda. After lunch, begin your 2-hour ride to Shigatse. While you are en route, stop to visit a local Tibetan family to experience and indulge into the daily Tibetan life. Overnight accommodation at a 4-star hotel in Shigatse.

Day 4: (B)

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel, then visit Pachen Lama's seat place, the large and complex Tashilumpo monastery. Afterwards, briefly visit a charming local market.
