Upon arrival at Xi'an Xianyang international airport our experienced driver will pick you up and transfer to your hotel in Xi'an city downtown by an air-conditioned vehicle.
You will be picked-up from your hotel at 9:00AM and later transferred to the Yang Ling Mausoleum of Han Dynasty, which serves as the tomb of the fourth emperor in Han Period. Located in Xianyang city, Han Yang Ling features that the Queenâ€™s grave buried together with the Han Jing emperor Liu and Wang.
Afterwards you can enjoy a lunch, and then head off to see the world-famous Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum, also known as â€œthe Eighth Wonder of the Worldâ€, located 30km east of the Xi'an. The original site was found by four local farmers digging a well in 1974. The museum includes Pit 1 (the largest), Pit 2 and Pit 3 as well the exhibition of the chariots and horses. The museum and the mausoleum are UNESCO-protected. Later you will be transferred back to your hotel.
Xian is an ancient and historical city known for the world wonderÂ Terracotta Warriors and Horses, however, there are more to see in Xi'an such as Qian Mausoleum andÂ Han Yang Ling Mausoleum. This tour we will take you see these archeological marvel for an unforgettable day.
You will be met and picked up from your Xi'an hotel in the morning, and then transfer to Xianyang to visitÂ Qian Mausoleum.Â It occupies a prominent site on the summit of Liangshan Hill with some 80 kilometers (50 miles) to the northwest of the Tang capital, Chang'an (today's Xi'an). The design of the tomb's layout replicates the city of Chang'an and in accordance with tradition on a north-south axis. The southern approach is set between two smaller hills and the way to the Emperor's tomb is lined with stone animals and human figures. These include horses, ostriches, winged horses, and a pair of stone lions. Afterwards, you willÂ visitÂ Han Yang Ling Mausoleum. It is the burial place of Emperor Jing, the fourth emperor of Western Han Dynasty. It is located in the Weicheng District of the City of Xianyang, Shaanxi Province, on the northern bank of Wei River and about 20 km (12 miles) to the north of the city center of the provincial capital of Xiâ€™an. It is one of the "Five Mausoleums" of Western Han Dynasty. At the end of the tour, your guide and driver will transfer you back to the hotel.Â
DAY 1 - Xi'an
In the morning, your English-speaking guide will meet you at your own prearranged hotel lobby to visit Banpo Neolithic Village which is a New Stone Age archeological site that is date back from as early as approximately 5,000 to 4,000 B.C. It is one of the most complete examples of a Neolithic agricultural settlement in the world. Then, you will be transferred to see the 8th world wonder, Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum. The vaults are 0.9 mile (1.5 kilometer) away from the Mausoleum of First Chinese Emperor, Qin Shihuang. It is credited as the largest underground military base in the world. Afterwards, drive back to the downtown area to visit Big Wild Goose Pagoda, a city symbol of Xiâ€™an, with precious Buddhist statues and murals. At the end of the tour, your guide and driver will transfer you back to your own prearranged Xi'an hotel.
DAY 2 - Departing Xi'an
In the morning, your English-speaking guide will meet you at your own prearranged hotel lobby and then transfer you to visit the most well-preserved Ancient City Wall in China. You may opt for a bike tour on the city wall to circle around the old city or walk take a stroll around to enjoy panoramic views. After a good visit here, you will be accompanied to walk aroundÂ the Bell and Drum Tower Square. Later, walk to the Muslim Quarter, a lively and buzzing neighborhood with various food stalls, souvenir shops, and visitors from around the world. In the afternoon, you will be escorted to Xi'an High-Speed Train Station for your one-way to Shanghai (Train Reference Number: G1930, Schedule and Duration: departure at 2:02pm, arriving in Shanghai at 9:09pm).
Take a ride in an air-conditioned bus and travel back in time to prehistoric China! On this full-day guided tour from Xiâ€™an, your first stop will take you 6,000 years in the past to Banpo Neolithic Village. For approximately one hour, tour the village and learn about the matriarchal community of the Yangshao culture through the various relics and exhibitions offered. This site was excavated in the 1950s and visitors can still see the houses, stables, cellars, kilns, graves, pottery and tools that highlight the everyday life of this ancient civilization.
Move along the historical timeline with a visit to the Terracotta Warriors and Horses, one of the most significant archaeological excavations of the 20th century. These warriors were created to guard Emperor Qin Shi Huangâ€™s tomb and protect him in the afterlife. So far, this site is estimated to have over 8,000 soldiers, 130 chariots and over 600 horses, and excavation is still ongoing! Tour the necropolis with your guide for approximately 2 hours and admire the astounding magnitude of the site and the incredible detail of the individual figures. Then, spend about 40 minutes on a visit to Emeperor Qin's Mausolem.
Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, where you can indulge in an authentic Chinese meal, exchange travel photos, and chat about the marvels youâ€™ve just witnessed. After a satisfying lunch, make your way to the Terracotta Replication Factory, where you may purchase (own expense) a little terracotta army for yourself!
Return back to the 21st century as you end this tour with a ride back to your hotel by 5pm, giving you enough time to enjoy more activities around the city.
You will be picked up from your hotel in Xi'an at 9:00 am and start your full-day visit. Your first stop is Xi'an Museum, which is located by Small Wild Goose Pagoda and covers an area of 245 hectares. It was officially opened to the public in May 2007 and collectively reflects the long history of Xi’an city.
You will then visit a workshop to see how terracotta figures are made and then enjoy delicious lunch at a local restaurant before visit to the Terracotta and Horses Museum, the 8th Wonder of the World. For 2,200 years, the Xi’an terracotta warriors silently guarded the tomb of Qin Shihuang,the first Emperor of China. Those life-size figures were uncovered by accident when peasants digging a well in 1974 and then became the major archaeological discovery of the 20th century. As a result, Xi’an that was originally a dusty industrial city in the province of Shaanxi suddenly became one of the world’s premier tourist attractions.
After the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel around 5:00 pm.
In the early morning, our guide and driver will meet you at the lobby of your hotel in Xi'an at 8:00am and drive to the Huashan Mountain (approx. 2 hours) that is known for its unique cliff, breathtaking scenery, steep and narrow paths and precipitous crags.
Situated in Huayin City, Huashan Mountain is 120 kilometers (75 miles) from Xi'an with five famous peaks of distinctive charms. This tour will take you to one of the most popular peaks - North Peak, also known as the Cloud Terrace Peak. You will take the cable car to the North Peak and enjoy the amazing view of the magnificent peaks from the top. Also feel the magic of nature with vibrant pines and cypresses. Later on you will return to the foot of the mountain by cable car and we will take you back to your hotel.
